    Hello,
We have had a request from an individual for a jail report of an injury incident that happened back in 1995. He slipped and fell and was taken to the hospital. He has requested the report and we were able to locate it. Included in the report was the actual medical report from the hospital. Should this be released to him without redactions?

Hi! Have you confirmed that the person is the same? Typically, if we have ID/verification of the identity of the person, we would release their PII which would include medical. If we do not have that information, we would process as a public request and not release medical.

We would handle it the same at Jackson PD that Amanda Zant said they would handle it. We require a valid government-issued ID – driver’s license, state ID, passport, etc.
