For those who process ordinance violations via ticket, what do you do with them? Do they go to the local township/village/city attorney? Do you redact LEIN? Do you automatically provide BWC/ICV? Do they all get processed by your prosecuting attorney first, or just straight to the local attorney? We don’t deal too much with these, and our subject matter expert retired a few years ago, but obviously things change! Thanks

Do they go to the local township/village/city attorney? We submit ours to to the courts as a Civil Summons, that is if the citizen does not pay within the specified time frame. From there the court assigns our City Attorney to handle the case.

Do you redact LEIN? No, not if the CA requests the report

Do you automatically provide BWC/ICV? No, not unless the CA specifically requests it.

The most common ordinance violations, for us, that go unpaid and get sent to the courts is dog running at large and open burning.
