HI! there is always the probable clause caveat you could use. I would you document the interaction with the subject, and have a supervisor review it with you. Ultimately your name will be on the approval paperwork, and I would recommend standing up for what you believe is correct. I would hope this person is not being coerced into something, and also things do get tricky with gun rights/laws. On the other hand, if there is no guardianship on file…do you feel you could deny them? Have you reached out to your local Probate Court as an extra step?
