OLD BUSINESS:

Corky Jerick of Eaton Co. Sheriff’s Dept. won the name the newsletter contest and the first edition of the "Lerma Link" has been emailed to all LERMA members. Anyone with newsworthy items, please forward them to Carol Wright – Troy PD.

President, Linda Carpenter and some of the other Board Members attended the MACP Mid-Winter Conference to promote LERMA and increase the association’s membership. Linda reports that many of the Chiefs that stopped by the LERMA booth have records personnel that are already members and expressed their pride for the job they do and appreciation for the knowledge gained by being members of LERMA. A raffle was also held where a one-year’s membership to LERMA was given away.

NEW BUSINESS:

Shelley Pavlinak volunteered to represent LERMA as a member of the LEIN User Workgroup. Shelley reports that they had their first meeting and that they will be doing LEIN Audits again. Four new LEIN auditors have been assigned to perform this task; TAC training updates will take place and a new possible addition to LEIN would be a Jail Incarcerations alert.
